Custom Furniture-Sideboard

This mid-century modern inspired sideboard is a custom piece designed for the Myers family. As our children age and become more active, we find our beautiful entry hall overrun with backpacks-school backpacks, work backpacks, sport backpacks! This 80" long cabinet features three pull-outs for easy access to them all. As we design and build this piece, stay tuned for more progress in May 2020!

The interior cabinet box and back have been assembled. In addition to a cool handle cut-out for carrying and moving the cabinet, we designed a series of vents for this cabinet as it will be housing stinky sports bags.
Celebrating the plywood material. Since the plywood that we purchased was not long enough to wrap around the entire cabinet transitions were required. We loved the idea of showing and using the material without covering its nature.
After waiting nearly five weeks we finally received the solid walnut boards for the legs. They were promptly planed, cut, glued, cut again and sanded to take their final shape.
